How to Cook Hoffy Gourmet Sausage

Stove Top

  1. Add water to a skillet or frying pan. Cover the surface with half an inch of water.
  2. Turn the heat on medium-high. Heat the pan until the water starts to boil off.
  3. Remove Hoffy Sausages from package and gently add the to the pan. Be sure to not overcrowd, you need room to turn the sausages.
  4. Turn the Sausages for even browning. Using tongs, roll the Hoffy Sausages frequently to get them browned on all sides.
  5. Remove with tongs or fork, add your favorite toppings and serve.

Grill

  1. Turn on grill. Heat one side of the grill to medium heat and the other side medium-high to high heat. For a charcoal grill, stack more coals on one side.
  2. Remove Hoffy Sausages from package.
  3. Using barbeque tongs, cook the Hoffy Sausages on the cooler side of the grill two to three minutes each side so that they can heat through without burning.
  4. Move the Hoffy Sausages to the hot side of the grill. And give them a final quick char, and those great looking grill lines.
  5. Serve. Using tongs, take your sausages off the grill, dress them up your way and dig in!

Oven

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Remove Hoffy Sausages from package and place in a rimmed pan or tray.  Line the pan with foil for extra easy cleanup.
  3. Cook for 15-20 minutes. Keep an eye on your sausages. You’ll know they’re done when you see them begin to brown and curl just a bit.
  4. Serve. Use a potholder to remove the pan from the oven, add your favorite toppings and enjoy!

  1. My Dad use to have what he called “Polska” sent to him, here in California, from his brothers in Pennsylvania… He’d boil them up and cut them into coins, as a pre-dinner snack… I found that childhood Polska, in these Hoffy Polish Sausage… Though I do eat them coin-style, they are also great split open on rye bread with a dill pickle and mustard, Der Weinerschnizel style…
