How to Cook Hoffy Franks

Stove Top

  1. Add water to a skillet or frying pan. Cover the surface with half an inch of water.
  2. Turn the heat on medium-high. Heat the pan until the water starts to boil off.
  3. Remove Hoffy Franks from package and gently add them to the pan. Be sure to not overcrowd, you need room to roll the franks.
  4. Roll the franks. Roll the Hoffy Franks frequently to get them browned on all sides.
  5. Remove with tongs or fork, add your favorite toppings and serve.
    Hoffy Hints: For that ballpark taste, swap out half the water for beer!

Grill

  1. Turn on your grill. Heat one side of the grill to medium heat and the other side medium-high to high heat. If you have a charcoal grill, stack more coals on one side. If you have a gas grill, adjust the knob settings accordingly.
  2. Remove Hoffy Franks from package.
  3. Using barbeque tongs, cook the Hoffy Franks on the cooler side of grill about one minute each side so they heat through without burning.
  4. Move hot dogs to the hot side of the grill. And give them a final quick char, and those great looking grill lines.
  5. Serve. Using tongs, take your hot dogs off the grill, dress them up your way and dig in!

Oven

  1. Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Remove Hoffy Franks from package and place in a rimmed pan or tray.  Line the pan with foil for extra easy cleanup.
  3. Cook for 15 minutes. Keep an eye on your franks. You’ll know they’re done when you see them begin to brown and curl just a bit.
  4. Serve. Use a potholder to remove the pan from the oven, add your favorite toppings and enjoy!

Microwave

  1. Prep your frank. Remove from package. Wrap in a paper towel and place directly in the microwave or put the hot dog on a plate and cover it with a paper towel. Cooking more than one? Lay them side by side on a plate and cover them all with a paper towel. Just make sure to leave a little space in between so they cook evenly.
    Hoffy Hints: Don’t poke holes in your frank! Piercing lets the delicious juices escape and your dog dries out.
  2. Cook on high. Start at 20 or 30 seconds for one frank. Add 10 to 15 seconds for each additional frank.
  3. Check in. When time is up, check to see if they’re warmed up all the way through. If not, microwave them another 10 seconds and test one again.
  4. Carefully remove your frank using tongs.  Trapped steam can burn.
  5. Serve. Add your favorite toppings and enjoy!
